14/09/2007 New Geoplot downloads, Vista support, Tech Support update, WEEE Registration
New downloads are available for Geoplot 3 for users with a USB Matrix dongle - code changes to Geoplot 3 enable it to run on Windows Vista and new facilities for merging MSP40 alpha and beta data have been added that preserve the crispness of the data.Technical support for Geoplot 3 has been updated on the website: "How do I import non-standard data ?". Our WEEE Producer Registration Number has been added in the 'About Us' section of the web site.

Extensive changes have been made to the information on this website. This includes new products : MSP40 Mobile Sensor Platform, PA20 Probe Array which replaces the PA5 Probe Array, RM15-D Resistance Meter which replaces the RM15. There is new Application Information for the MPX15, expanded Technical Support and introduction of FAQ, updated International Sales information, updated downloads, including some of the instruction manuals in PDF format. All data sheets are now available on the relevant page in PDF format.
9/07/2007 Geoplot 3.0 USB Dongles
Geoplot 3 is now available in USB dongle format. Existing Geoplot 3 users with older style LPT dongles or software authorisations can upgrade to the USB dongle version of Geoplot. Many new facilities added.

If you have a software lock protected Geoplot (using Authmanw) then you can download the latest version of Geoplot. At present only code for single users is available. Backup system files, default options files and palettes are also available.

This new society was established on 13th September 2003 at the 5th International Conference on Archaeological Prospection, Cracow, Poland. New members will be able to join from 1st January 2004.

29/9/2002 Geoplot and running on Windows 2000 or XP
If you plan to use Geoplot on Windows 2000 or XP (or any system later than NT4) and you have a Geoplot licence protected with a hardware lock (dongle) then you will need to download new drivers from the Az-Tech website. Go to address :
http://www.az-tech.com/dnl.htm and download Azsetup.exe and Azsetup.txt. Azsetup.txt gives instructions on installing the new driver. Alternatively, you can swop the hardware lock for a software lock but please note that with a software lock will no longer be able to run DOS version 2.02.
If you have a software lock version of Geoplot and plan to run Geoplot on Windows XP or 2000 then it is advisable to transfer the authorisation from floppy disk 3 to the PC in Safe Mode to avoid potential conflicts with any other programs running on the system. Once the authorisation is transferred revert back to normal mode. Likewise, when transferring the authorisation from an XP or 2000 system back to floppy disk 3 it is advisable to use Safe Mode whilst doing this.

21/12/2001 Geoplot and Upgrading to Windows 2000 or XP
If you plan to upgrade to Windows 2000 or XP (or any system later than NT4) and you have a Geoplot licence protected with a hardware lock (dongle) then you will need to swop the hardware lock for a software lock in order to run Geoplot. Please note that with a software lock you will no longer be able to run DOS version 2.02. Hardware locks will run under Windows 3.1, 95, 98, NT4 and ME.

Geoplot 3.0 can now import Excel spreadsheet files (comma and tab separated variables), as well as plain ASCII and a variety of XYZ formats.

5/6/2001 Geoplot and Norton SpeedDisk
You are advised not to use Norton SpeedDisk with a Geoplot software lock since the authorisation may be corrupted by SpeedDisk and Geoplot will no longer run. In general, avoid using any disk defragmention utilities that can move system files- the standard defragmentation utilities supplied with Windows do not cause any problems.
